Last fall, NuMe was contacted by a local high school senior inquiring about the artisanship of soap making and looking for a mentor for his Senior Project that had been assigned.  Needless to say, we were humbled and very excited about the opportunity.  Logan Case, a senior at River Ridge High School in Woodstock, GA, joined in at the soap shop getting a crash coarse in soap making, blending oils, cutting and curing natural soap.  It was alot to take in, but Logan got right in there and tackled it head on:)

As part of his project, he took step-by-step pictures of the entire process.

Logan asked tons of questions and really seemed to catch on quickly too.  Before we knew it, he was off on his own – making, cutting and stamping away.  The big day came this past spring when Logan presented his project to the judges at River Ridge High School – complete with a yummy grouping of mini bars to pass out, so the judges could smell his creations while he was presenting.  Needless to say, Logan received glowing remarks, compliments from the judges and finished with an ‘A’ for his hard work on the project.  He graduated just a few weeks ago and will be majoring in Film & Video at Georgia State this fall.

We’re excited for Logan to be starting this new chapter in his life and are SO proud of ALL that he’s accomplished:)  We wish him, and all recent graduates, much success.

Happy Summer:)

NuMe Natural Soap was recently given the honor and the privilege of having a very small part of serving some very special women of India.
A sweet friend and customer of ours Kim Williams, recently shared with us that she was part of a team from First Baptist Church of Woodstock, Georgia. She would be traveling to northern India, working with a set group of people to teach women about ministry to children, health and hygiene for women & children, prenatal care, and disipleship for women. They would be teaching 25 women leaders, who in turn would teach the women in their villages. 10952076_855402107849625_890128892_nKim ask if we would be interested in donating some soap as a little present to these women. It was our great joy to send 25 soap gifts tied up with pretty ribbon just for them. Kim said she explain to them a friend of hers made the beautiful soap for them. She said they were very happy to get the soap, and it was a great Blessing to them. Kim explains in her own words ….”It was part of a long term strategy of discipleship. The goal of this particular trip was to teach lessons on the value of children/sanctity of life, spiritual growth in the area of our speech, prayer, and personal lifestyle, and personal hygiene. These women come from a village and face many challenges spiritually and physically. These ladies are challenged to take the lessons they learned that week and share them with other women in their lives. The soap was given to show our care for them, their personal value to the Creator, and for practical use! I wish you could have seen their faces as they smelled the soaps and received the gift. I could not help but think about Psalm 51:7. You blessed some precious ladies more than you know! Thank you for being a part of this.”…..P1100147
Thank you Kim, for allowing us to be a part of this mission, even if in a very small way,….our hearts were so full just hearing about it.
I am in awe of God’s grace in putting all the pieces so perfectly in place so a team of willing faithful people can travel so far away to acheive such a mission. It is not easy in this dangerous world we live in to trurst God enough to follow his hand when he leads to far away nations. I am so thankful Kim’s team had enough love and faith in their hearts to follow his hand all the way to India.mindia
